DHL Australia Certified a Great Place To Work 2024

Press Release: 6 June 2024 Sydney, Australia

DHL Australia’s (DHL) workplace culture has been recognised following the results of a major externally managed cross-industry workplace survey by Great Place To Work (GPTW), a global authority on workplace culture.

This year, DHL’s GPTW certification was a DHL Group effort covering the company’s four business units – DHL eCommerce, DHL Express, DHL Global Forwarding, DHL Supply Chain.

DHL’s four CEOs; Denise McGrouther, Vice President and Managing Director, DHL eCommerce; Phil Corcoran, Managing Director, DHL Express; George Lawson, Managing Director DHL Global Forwarding; Steve Thompsett, CEO, DHL Supply Chain, were pleased with the result.

Denise McGrouther, Vice President DHL eCommerce, said she is incredibly proud that DHL Australia, as one, achieved GPTW certification.

“The results are a testament to the collaboration of the four divisions, our commitment to creating a work culture that attracts and retains the best talent and fosters innovation and development.

“It is a positive reflection on our foundations for growth, delivering value to both employees and customers for long-term business success.”

Phil Corcoran, Managing Director, DHL Express said he is thrilled with the news that DHL Australia has been certified as a Great Place to Work again this year.

“This is a true reflection of the high levels of trust, teamwork and positive contributions that our dedicated employees working at our DHL Group facilities across the country continue to deliver to grow our company’s culture. I couldn’t be more proud,” Mr Corcoran said.

George Lawson, Managing Director, DHL Global Forwarding said that a strong workplace culture is the #1 prerequisite to our success when operating in such a highly competitive people-based industry.

“Great Place To Work certification makes our employees proud, helps us recruit top talent and motivates us to do even better,” Mr Lawson said.

Steve Thompsett, CEO, DHL Supply Chain said the result reflects the elements DHL combines to help achieve the goal of being an employer of choice.

“The work we do is an essential part of everyday life for Australians, and we recognise and reward the extraordinary work that our employees do daily to keep our customers’ operations running smoothy.”
