New Danish Road Tax

Trying to reduce CO2 emissions in Denmark, the Danish government has now finally decided to introduce a Danish road tax starting in 2025 – initially for trucks weighing 12 tons or more.

The new road tax will also include a low emission zone surcharge for trucks driving the urban zones of Copenhagen, Aarhus, Odense and Aalborg.

Based on our calculations of the consequences of this new kilometer-based tax, we see no other option than to pass on this extra cost to our customers.
