AKT supports Finnish Industrial Union’s negotiations with blockade of ports

Update 29.1.2025 – AKT is continuing its support actions to Finnish Industrial Union’s negotiations also during the first week of February. The new blockade will start on Monday, February 3, 6.00 a.m. and continue until Saturday, February 8, 4 p.m., unless an agreement is concluded before that. During the blockade goods and cargoes of certain companies in the technology and chemical industry are not handled. List of companies affected is available in AKT’s announcement of 29.1.2025 (in Finnish). The industrial action concerns all Finnish ports.

23.1.2025 – Finnish Transport Workers’ Union AKT is supporting Finnish Industrial Union’s ongoing negotiations on their collective agreement by arranging blockades at Finnish ports. During the blockade – from January 27, 6.00 a.m. until February 1, 4 p.m. – goods and cargoes of certain companies in the technology and chemical industry are not handled. The industrial action concerns all Finnish ports.
