Schedule changes due to Easter in European road transports
March 28, 2025
Easter holidays impact loading and transport schedules both in Finland and elsewhere in Europe.
During the week preceding Easter (week 16) the Friday groupage departures from Finland are moved to Thursday April 17, and the shipment pick-ups are correspondingly made earlier.
Also, in import to Finland, in some countries groupage departures take place already on Wednesday or Thursday (April 16 / 17) instead of Friday.
After Easter, departures scheduled to the beginning of the week are mainly cancelled due to the short working week. For instance, departures from Czech Republic on Tuesday, April 22, and from Poland on Wednesday, April 23, to Finland are cancelled.
In general, the Easter holidays are likely to cause delays to pickups and deliveries in both export and import. Please agree on schedules for part and full loads separately with our customer service.
