DHL SUPPORTS COLLEAGUES AND THEIR FAMILIES WITH INTRODUCTION OF WELLNESS CLOUD AND NEW FAMILY LEAVE POLICIES
Press Release: London, 15th May 2023
- Employee benefits platform provides valuable health and wellbeing support
- New policies include increased paid parental leave and leave for miscarriage or baby loss
DHL Supply Chain announces a range of new initiatives introduced to provide employees and their families with broader health and wellbeing support. The business is responding to feedback from its colleagues on the support needed for parenting, pregnancy, fertility and menopause.
All employees in the UK and Ireland have been given access to the Wellness Cloud platform in line with DHL’s approach of creating a holistic programme for colleagues’ physical, emotional, financial and social wellbeing. The Wellness Cloud is an employee benefits platform that provides support for colleagues’ health and wellbeing across many challenges, including pregnancy & parenting, fertility, neurodiversity, mental health, menopause, sleep, bereavement, and financial wellbeing.
The platform offers support via recorded talks, live Q&As, classes, workshops and written guides encompassing a wide range of topics. Through the Wellness Cloud, DHL colleagues will have access to free online antenatal classes, free baby and toddler classes and virtual drop-in clinics with antenatal specialists and an infant and child sleep expert. Colleagues will also have the opportunity to arrange a one-to-one consultation with a specialist in fertility, parenting or menopause.
To offer further support to families, DHL has also updated its parental leave policies, extending the length of paid maternity, paternity and adoption leave. In addition, the company has introduced paid leave for miscarriage or baby loss, giving colleagues time to cope with these difficult experiences.
Nicki Hay, SVP HR, UKI at DHL Supply Chain says, “At DHL, employee wellbeing is a priority and we’re proud to be investing in our colleagues’ health and happiness. Challenges in recent years, particularly the pandemic and cost of living crisis, are impacting the wellbeing of many people so it’s important to continually update and improve our benefits provision. We are delighted to be offering access to the Wellness Cloud, providing quality online support and resources as well as enhanced benefits, both of which have been received really positively so far.”
