EVs are realistically projected to account for more than 50% of new car sales by 2040, and advances in EV science may well see this happen sooner. In episodes one to three we explored the environmental and future potential of electric vehicles.  In this episode we investigate the sustainability of the EV supply chain.  Industry experts from around the world share their insights. Our findings might surprise you. Just some of the points we explore include the simplicity of electric vehicle drive systems, why OEMs are demanding greener supply chains and how the integration of ESG (environment, social & governance) will accelerate positive and sustainable logistics change.

Hosted by TV motoring personality and presenter, Brendan Coogan, this month’s episode visits the DHL Hub in Berlin and looks at why road transport carbon reduction is not just about electrification. We discover the sustainable logistics transport technologies DHL is considering for the future. Experts and innovation leaders from DHL, including Silje Skogstad, Senior Vice President Corporate Strategy, DPDHL Group, Markus Reckling, Managing Director DHL Express Germany, Fabio Sacchi VP Commercial Business Development, DHL Team EV, and Marijn Slabbekoorn, DHL Express Go Green Program Manager for Europe. Together they discuss the opportunities and challenges. From establishing electrified fleets and ultra-low-carbon last mile deliveries, DHL is pioneering both new sustainable logistics solutions and a positive environment for powering essential change.
