DHL Express Ireland, the world’s leading express service provider today announced Children’s Health Foundation (CHF) as their official charity partner for 2021 and 2022. After four years of working successfully with Pieta House, this new partnership will see DHL Express working in collaboration with Children’s Health Foundation – the new name for CMRF Crumlin and Temple Street Foundation – while also providing them with logistical support to help the Foundation stay connected with their supporters around Ireland.

With the help of its supporters across Ireland and beyond, Children’s Health Foundation raises vital funds to support sick children and their families in Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) hospitals and urgent care centres. The Foundation supports the urgent, lifesaving work that happens in CHI every minute of every day – from funding vital life-saving equipment and providing essential patient and parental supports, to making ground-breaking, paediatric research possible.

In a companywide vote, employees of DHL Express Ireland chose Children’s Health Foundation as their next charity partner to support their mission of giving every sick child every chance by providing world-class facilities, research and compassionate loving care. “At DHL Express Ireland we are delighted to partner with Children’s Health Foundation and look forward to developing this partnership over the next two years.” said Bernard McCarthy, Managing Director at DHL Express Ireland. “We know already that the teams in all of the CHI hospitals and urgent care centres provide outstanding care and support to sick children and their families and we are excited to be supporting these teams and making our own small contribution to their work in the coming years.”

“We are honoured and thrilled that Children's Health Foundation has been chosen as DHL's charity partner for 2021–2022” said Denise Fitzgerald, Chief Executive at Children’s Health Foundation. “Every minute of every day Children’s Health Ireland’s doctors, nurses and staff are providing compassionate, world-class paediatric care to sick children and their families. Now, more than ever, we depend on the kindness and generosity of corporate partners, individuals and communities right across Ireland to help raise vital funds that will be put to work where they are needed most in services for children in CHI –  from funding essential equipment and patient and parental supports to making new services and ground-breaking paediatric research possible. On behalf of all of us in Children’s Health Foundation and in CHI hospitals and urgent care centres, thank you so much DHL for your support and commitment – we can’t wait to see what lies ahead for the next two years.”
