“Top Employer” is an annual international survey conducted by the Top Employers Institute, headquartered in Amsterdam, which recognizes companies that provide outstanding employment environments in 20 areas of HR practices. Specifically, certification is based on the results of a survey in which companies participate in six HR domains covering 20 topics, including People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Wellbeing and more. DHL Japan was recognized for its many initiatives to enhance job satisfaction. It is also one of only 13 companies in Japan to be recognized as “Top Employer” this year.

Tony Khan, President and Representative Director of DHL Express Japan said: “Last year, we celebrated our 50th anniversary in Japan. The company's growth over the past 50 years has been enabled by all our employees, who remain motivated and diligent in their work.  We are very proud that our efforts in pursuing a great workplace for our employees have culminated in this prestigious Top Employer award for the third year in a row.”

The employees serve as the building block of DHL's global network – which is one of the largest networks in the world. The people also differentiate DHL from other companies, in providing high service quality. Becoming the employer of choice is one of DHL’s three objectives. The company annually invests a double-digit million Euro amount in its employees in more than 220 countries and territories worldwide, and rolls out HR leadership development and talent growth programs worldwide including Certified International Specialist (CIS) and Certified International Manager (CIM). The Top Employer certifications confirm that the personnel and economic effort and the long-term employees’ retention are highly valued in the competition.
