DHL Supply Chain Opens Kumamoto Logistics Center to Support Japan’s Growing Semiconductor Industry

DHL Supply Chain Japan, the global leader in logistics, opened its Kumamoto Logistics Center in Kikuchi-gun, Kumamoto Prefecture. Aligned with the Japanese government’s efforts to boost the semiconductor industry, DHL Supply Chain’s new two-storied facility adds 7,095 square meters to its existing portfolio in Japan and enhances its network and capabilities in serving semiconductor businesses.

Strategically located only 1.4 kilometers from a factory of the world’s largest semiconductor foundry, the Kumamoto Logistics Center will strengthen inventory management and delivery services for DHL Supply Chain’s customers, which include semiconductor equipment manufacturers. Its prime location supports business efficiency and growth by optimizing supply chains, reducing costs, and enabling faster time to market, thereby improving the competitive advantage of DHL Supply Chain’s customers.

To provide the optimal environment for semiconductor storage and handling, Kumamoto Logistics Center is fully air-conditioned, with temperature and humidity control functions to maintain the quality of semiconductor products. The facility is governed by an advanced automated security system to protect important customer assets, and operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to meet urgent customer needs promptly.
