DHL EXPRESS KOREA EXTENDS ITS PARTNERSHIP WITH KOREA NATIONAL ICE HOCKEY TEAM UNTIL YEAR 2022

- DHL extends its logistic support for national teams’ overseas competition till year 2022
- Transported over 33 tons of training equipment to 15 locations since the beginning of the partnership
DHL Express, the world’s leading international express services provider, has announced that it will continue to provide logistics support for Korea National Ice Hockey team until the year 2022.
ByungKoo Han, Country Manager of DHL Express Korea, and MongWon Chung, Chairman of Korea Ice Hockey Association, signed an agreement on July 17, 2020 at the office building of KIHA, extending the two’s long-lasting partnership for two additional years until the year 2022.
With this partnership extension, DHL Express Korea will continue to be the official logistics partner of KIHA and provide logistics support for national teams’ overseas competition and training including the Beijing Winter Olympics Games scheduled in 2022.

Leveraging its extensive global network and expertise, DHL Express Korea has been taking the full charge of transporting the personal and team equipment weighing more than 1.5 tons for each shipment back and forth between Korea and overseas destinations. Since the beginning of the partnership in 2015, DHL delivered over 33 tons of equipment to 15 locations with the help of a dedicated team who takes care of all logistics process from paperwork, pick-up, and customs clearance to delivery.
Furthermore, DHL Express Korea and KIHA also agreed to work together to expand the fan base of ice hockey across the nation by jointly arranging ice hockey events and other programs such as ice hockey leadership lectures and youth classes.
