DHL EXPRESS EXTENDS PARTNERSHIP WITH KOREA NATIONAL ICE HOCKEY UNTIL 2024

• DHL will continue to be the official logistics provider for the national ice hockey team until 2024
• Since 2015, DHL has helped to deliver over 42 tons of training equipment on 18 occasions

DHL Express, the world’s leading international express services provider, has announced that it will continue to provide logistics support to the Korea National Ice Hockey team until 2024.

On July 29, 2022, ByungKoo Han, Country Manager of DHL Express Korea and HoJin Lee, Chairman of Korea Ice Hockey Association(KIHA), signed an agreement to extend the partnership for another two years to promote the national ice hockey team’s development. DHL Express Korea and KIHA have been partners since 2015.

ByungKoo Han said, “We are happy and honored to continue our support for the national ice hockey team and play a role in creating an environment where the team can perform its best. As the 23rd Women’s World Championship will be held in Korea, we will continue to provide our best services to support the national ice hockey teams in delivering their best performance as well as to expand the fan base and popularize the sport by arranging various ice hocky events and programs such as ice hocky leadership lectures and stadium tours.”

Since 2015, DHL Express Korea has been delivering the national team’s training equipment whenever they participate in overseas competitions and training programs. To date, DHL has delivered 42 tons of national team equipment 18 times to multiple locations abroad, with each shipment weighing about 1.7 tons of the players' personal items and team equipment.

DHL Express Korea has formed a dedicated team of experts for effective logistic support to directly manage the entire logistics process from paperwork, pick-up, and customs clearance to delivery. In particular, even when it was difficult to transport goods smoothly due to the global logistics crisis due to Covid-19, DHL Express Korea continued to provide reliable transportation for the final preliminaries of Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Men’s and Women’s World Championships in Europe.
