DHL EXPRESS KOREA NAMED KOREA’S BEST WORKPLACE FOR THE EIGHTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR BY GREAT PLACE TO WORK

• Received both accolades for Best Workplace for Women™ and Best Workplace for Millennials™ in recognition of its diversity and inclusion culture
• DHL Women’s Network carried out various activities to encourage female employees

DHL Express, the world’s leading international express service provider, won the grand prize in the ‘Great Place to Work in Korea 2021’. This marks the eighth consecutive year in which DHL Express has been on the list of in Korea.

At a virtual ceremony held by Great Place to Work® on February 23, 2022, DHL Express Korea also received Best Workplace for Women™ for the first time and Best Workplace for Millennials™ this year, which was newly introduced into the award category, in recognition of its outstanding corporate culture supporting diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Despite the logistics industry being a traditionally male-dominated industry, the proportion of female workers in DHL Express Korea accounts for almost 50%, excluding employees dedicated to frontline delivery. Under diversity & inclusion corporate culture, DHL4ALL helps make the most of every employee's strengths and empowers the entire network to be the best they can be. DHL Express actively carries out various activities to encourage female employees to participate in mentoring and conferences to enhance women’s leadership. The internal diversity committee, DHL Women’s Network, also organize and facilitate ‘Diversity & Inclusion Week’ events, including several corporate social responsibility programs.

The ‘Great Place to Work in Korea’ list recognizes companies that have established an exceptional corporate culture and created a trust-based high-quality workplace. It is organized by Great Place to Work® Institute, a global people analytics and consulting firm that assesses the work experience of employees of more than 30,000 companies and institutions in 97 countries around the world including United States, Japan, China, etc.

The listed companies are selected based on two evaluation criteria: ‘Trust Index’ – based on employee surveys and ‘Cultural Audit’ – expert assessment on the overall management of corporate culture. DHL Express Korea attained high scores in the ‘Trust Index’. The index comprises five subcategories: ‘Credibility’, ‘Respect’, ‘Fairness’, ‘Pride’ and “Camaraderie’ with relatively higher scores in ‘Pride’ and ‘Camaraderie’.
