  • As part of a service launching event, all customers shipping via CU convenience stores will receive KRW 5,000 CU mobile gift voucher and DHL reusable bag

DHL Express, the world’s leading international express service provider, has announced a partnership with BGF Networks, which operates CU, one of the largest convenience store chains in Korea, to offer international express shipping services through 15,000 CU convenient stores nationwide. The service is planned to be officially launched starting from April 1 following a pilot run by March 31.

In January 2020, CU convenience stores were added to DHL Express Korea’s ‘On Demand Delivery’ service options, allowing customers to choose when and where to collect their international shipments. With this partnership, the service range is expanded, and customer can now send their international express packages at CU convenience stores across the nation in addition to the shipment collection from overseas at a greater convenience and accessibility.

Customers who want to ship packages at a CU convenience store can input necessary shipping details and make reservations on the CU post website before bringing their shipments to a nearby CU convenience store for drop-off. Up to 20 kg of items, regardless of documents or parcels, can be accepted. The received items will be transported to designated DHL service center via domestic carriers and then securely shipped to their final destinations overseas through the DHL network.

Additionally, in commemoration of the service launch, DHL Express Korea will conduct an event from April 1st to 30th, during which all customers who ship at a CU convenience store will be given a KRW 5,000 won CU mobile gift voucher and a DHL reusable bag as gifts.

Jihun (Michael) Han, Country Manager of DHL Express Korea, said, “The partnership with BGF Networks enables us to further improve convenience for our customers. We will continue to diversify our customer touchpoints to allow them to use our services more conveniently while expanding business partnership to maximize customer accessibility.”

DHL Express Korea operates 24 service centers, 10 service points, and more than 100 DHL authorized shipping centers, offering the largest number of customer touchpoints among international express delivery service providers in Korea.
