DHL EXPRESS CELEBRATES THIS HOLIDAY SEASON WITH ADOPT-A-SEEDLING AND MORE

DHL Express, the world's leading international express service provider, announced that for every customer shipment or transaction received till 31 December 2021, it would donate P10 to the Haribon Foundation’s Adopt-A-Seedling program to celebrate the company’s significant growth in the Philippines over the past 50 years and in keeping with its annual commitment to contribute to positive change in the country.

The season of giving back with Adopt-A-Seedling program

For its 50th anniversary in the Philippines and beyond, DHL Express continues to support climate protection and sustainability. The company is supporting the Haribon foundation's Adopt-A-Seedling program which aims to restore one million hectares of degraded Philippines forests by planting indigenous trees.

This tree-planting campaign with Haribon is part of DHL Express Philippines' long-term goal of promoting biodiversity and species conservation, according to the company's Commercial head, Eric Queppet. "We also have a goal of eliminating all logistics-related emissions by 2050, by increasing the carbon efficiency of operations, reducing emissions of local air pollutants, and providing customers with green products and solutions,” he emphasized.

The Haribon Foundation is adept at building constituencies and empowering communities through scientific and multi-disciplinary approaches consistent with its advocacy for biodiversity conservation. This is in line with DHL’s aim to contribute to, grow with, and empower the communities and the environment. “DHL supports Haribon Foundation's reforestation efforts through our Adopt-A-Seedling Program, and we are grateful for this holiday campaign. This fundraising initiative gives us hope that people and communities can come together for a better planet and a better future,” said Noel A. From October 28 to December 31, customers are entitled to one raffle entry for every international shipment, whether parcel or document, sent from the Philippines.
