DHL Supply Chain Signs Diversity Charter Across Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, and Czechia
Press Release: November 20, 2024
DHL Supply Chain, a global leader in logistics and supply chain solutions, is proud to announce its official signing of the Diversity Charter in Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, and Czechia. This marks a significant step in the company’s efforts to foster a more diverse and inclusive workplace across the Central and Eastern European (CEE) region.
The Diversity Charter is a voluntary commitment to ensuring that equality, respect, and inclusion are integral to company culture and operations. By signing the Charter, DHL Supply Chain strengthens its dedication to building an environment where everyone—regardless of gender, age, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or background—can thrive.
“Signing the Diversity Charter is an important affirmation of our commitment to diversity and inclusion. Our business success depends on the strength of our people, and the best ideas and innovations come from diverse perspectives. We are committed to ensuring that our workforce reflects the diversity of the communities we serve and that every employee feels empowered to contribute and grow within our organization,” says Orkun Saruhanoglu, CEO of DHL Supply Chain CEE.
In line with DHL’s global values, the company continues to focus on creating a workplace where differences are celebrated, and all employees are treated with respect and dignity. This initiative is also part of DHL’s broader strategy to advance its sustainability goals, which include social sustainability as a core pillar of the business. The signing of the Diversity Charter in these four countries underlines DHL Supply Chain’s leadership in driving positive change, both within the company and in the broader logistics industry.
Agata Wydmańska, head of marketing & Communications, a long-standing advocate of diversity at DHL Supply Chain, shared her perspective:
“Diversity has always been at the heart of what we do at DHL. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working on numerous projects aimed at fostering inclusivity and empowering individuals from all backgrounds. The signing of the Diversity Charter is a testament to the progress we’ve made and our continued commitment to building an organization where everyone feels valued and can reach their full potential.”
Through this commitment, DHL Supply Chain aims to further embed diversity into its daily operations and decision-making processes. The company will also continue to foster an inclusive environment by launching targeted initiatives and training programs, ensuring that all employees—whether they are on the frontlines or in leadership roles—feel included and heard.
