DHL Express, the world’s leading international express service provider, has retained its number one spot on the Best Workplaces™ 2024 list in Singapore by global people analytics and consulting firm Great Place to Work® Institute. This year, DHL Express Singapore is also conferred “The Legends” badge, a new recognition given to companies who have been on the Best Workplaces in Singapore list for five or more consecutive years. This is a special recognition conferred by the Great Place to Work® Institute in Singapore to mark its 10th year of honoring outstanding workplaces in Singapore.
“Being the number #1 “Great Place to Work” in Singapore for five consecutive years reflects not just the high levels of trust and camaraderie within our organization, but also the confidence of our people. To be a great place to work is to be an employer of choice, one of four bottom lines in our DHL strategy. We are deeply honored and proud to achieve this accolade as we continue to live out our Group’s purpose of “connecting people, improving lives,” says Christopher Ong, Managing Director, DHL Express Singapore.
To determine the 2024 Singapore’s Best Workplaces™️, Great Place To Work®️ considered confidential survey feedback provided by employees about their organization’s culture. Based on the 2024 Trust Index (TI) survey, 98% of employees rated DHL Express Singapore as a great place to work, an improvement of 1% from 2023. The TI scores also showed an increase across categories like, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie.
The survey results reflect the organization’s strong commitment to safety and employee satisfaction. Most employees (99%) continue to affirm that DHL Express Singapore is a physically safe place to work. They also indicated that the facilities contribute to a good working environment (99%) and that they are given the resources to do their work (99%). Employees also trust their management to lay off people only as a last resort (99%).
“At DHL, we believe that we cannot be a great place to work if we are not a safe place to work. We value the feedback from our employees and constantly seek ways to improve. The results reaffirm our efforts to maintain safety, including physical and mental wellbeing, have resonated well among our people,” says Amod Date, Vice President, Human Resources, DHL Express Singapore.
