DHL SUPPLY CHAIN PROUD TO ANNOUNCE LOGISTIC COOPERATION WITH ACTION, ONE OF THE FASTEST GROWING NON-FOOD DISCOUNTERS IN EUROPE

DHL Supply Chain Slovakia has been awarded a new contract with Action. Action, with more than 1,850 stores in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic and Italy is one of the fastest growing non-food discounters in Europe. DHL Supply Chain Slovakia will manage storage and warehousing for Action at a new logistics park in Ivanka pri Dunaji, in the Bratislava district.

Action was looking for a strong logistics partner in order to continue ensuring a steady supply of its existing stores and support the growing store network in Europe. DHL Supply Chain Slovakia convinced Action with its international logistics expertise, a clear focus on operational excellence and its efficient Supply Chain management. The logistics company will manage the storage and warehousing in Action’s latest distribution center in Ivanka pri Dunaji in Slovakia. DHL will provide tailor-made internal logistics services for Action.

In stages, a team of  200  trained DHL Supply Chain specialists will operate on 2 shifts basis, managing about 50 000 square meter of warehousing space starting in June 2021.
