DHL SUPPLY CHAIN SELECTED AS IN-PLANT LOGISTICS PROVIDER FOR JLR’S FACTORY IN NITRA, SLOVAKIA

• DHL extends longstanding partnership with JLR through a 3-year contract in Slovakia
• Under the contract, DHL Supply Chain will oversee all aspects of the supply chain, from warehousing through to sequenced assembly line delivery

DHL Supply Chain, the world's leading contract logistics provider, has extended its longstanding global partnership with JLR to now include in-plant logistics services at their state-of-the-art factory in Nitra, Slovakia. Under a newly signed 3-year contract, DHL will commence operations at the facility on October 1, 2023, fostering its position as a key logistics player in the automotive market in Central Eastern Europe.

With this strategic collaboration, DHL Supply Chain will leverage its extensive experience and expertise in automotive logistics and will support JLR with best-in-class supply chain services from warehousing through to sequenced assembly line delivery. This partnership involves the transition of over 1,900 employees from the existing logistics provider to DHL Supply Chain. This transfer not only underscores DHL's commitment to employee welfare but also ensures operational continuity within the facility.

The Nitra plant, founded in 2018, is a cutting-edge facility spanning an impressive 300,000 square meters. Renowned for its aluminum manufacturing capabilities and engineering expertise, the plant can achieve over 150,000 vehicles. DHL's role as the in-plant logistics provider will ensure streamlined operations, seamless material flow, and enhanced efficiency across the entire supply chain, from warehousing through to sequenced assembly line delivery.
