Three DHL business units operating in the United States -- DHL Express, DHL Global Forwarding and DHL Supply Chain – have been certified as Top Employers 2020. The Top Employer Institute’s Global Certification Program certifies and recognizes each year companies that demonstrate a continuous commitment to providing the best working environment for their employees through progressive ‘people-first’ HR practices. DHL parent company, Deutsche Post DHL Group, was also recognized as a Top Employer.
To earn these certifications, each DHL business unit went through a multi-stage certification program where various company programs were audited and evaluated by independent experts. According to the institute, these business units are top performers in the areas of talent strategy, culture and learning and development.
DHL Express, the world leader in logistics and express delivery, has been recognized as a leading global employer for the sixth year in a row. The division has been certified as Top Employer in 64 countries across Africa, Asia, North and South America, Europe and Middle East. It was recognized for its strong performance in the areas of leadership development and talent strategy. Key components are attractive working environments and engaged employees throughout its global network and good talent acquisition and retention programs. These pillars are crucial for achieving the highest quality customer service and developing a strong customer-centricity workforce.
“Our employees are our greatest asset and the most essential component to our business. We want to provide them with an environment in which they feel respected, and are actively encouraged to unlock their full potential. Building on the independent review by the Top
Employers Institute, we will identify areas to further advance the impact of our people strategies within our organization. Overall, our goal is to be one of the most attractive employers worldwide,” said Greg Hewitt, CEO for DHL Express U.S.
DHL Global Forwarding, Freight, the air, ocean, and road freight specialist of Deutsche Post DHL Group, was certified for the first time as a global Top Employer in six regions. This most recent recognition spans 35 countries in Africa, Asia, North and America, the Middle East, and

“The engagement and recognition of our employees is key for building expert teams who provide best-in-class freight forwarding services to the customers. Training opportunities and talent development programs are consistently reviewed here to ensure that they are benchmarked against the requirements of the industry,” said David Goldberg, CEO for DHL Global Forwarding U.S.
For the fourth time in a row, DHL Supply Chain, the contract logistics specialist arm of Deutsche Post DHL Group, has been honored from the Top Employers Institute.
