DHL Supply Chain Announces New CEO for North America

DHL Group, the world's leading logistics company, has announced a key leadership transition in DHL Supply Chain North America. Patrick Kelleher, current Global Chief Development Officer will assume the role of North America CEO effective July 1, 2024. This follows the retirement of Scott Sureddin, which will take effect on December 31, 2024.

He will enter his retirement knowing he set a standard of excellence,” said Oscar de Bok, Global CEO of DHL Supply Chain. “As we enter this period of transition, Patrick’s focus will be to continue our success while exploring new avenues to strengthen our market position in addition to driving our sustainability and digitalization efforts.”
Mr. Sureddin has been instrumental in the growth of DHL Supply Chain North America. Under his leadership the division experienced exceptional growth, doubling the business in size as a result of his relentless focus on people development, excellent operational execution, collaborative robotics and digitalization at large scale.
Reporting to Mr. de Bok, Mr. Kelleher brings with him an impressive track record within the DHL Group since joining in 1992. In his current role, Mr. Kelleher has consistently exceeded expectations on all three bottom lines and has been a strong advocate for change and accelerated growth. His leadership style, customer-centric approach, and commitment to results have earned him a well-deserved reputation as a strong, engaging leader.
As North America CEO of DHL Supply Chain, Mr. Kelleher will be responsible for managing the business across the United States and Canada and its 52,000 associates. He notes that his immediate focus will be to continue to drive the company’s culture of operational excellence and innovation. He will also be prioritizing expansion in key geographical areas – to capitalize on the burgeoning logistics needs in those regions and capture market share.
Mr. Kelleher will be based at the DHL Supply Chain’s North America headquarters in Westerville, Ohio.
