All on Their Own but Still Together
This was the motto of the annual company run Leipzig. With sufficient distance and a lot of motivation, 50 DHL employees ran for the DHL Hub Leipzig team.
Stefanie Thomas was one of them. Together with her colleagues, she is working on the improvement of customer processes since she joined the customs department in February.
For her, the company run is one of the sporting highlights every year because she promotes continuous improvements not only in her job. “I love sports. I enjoy nature and I like to improve my physical performance.”
She ran the five kilometers within about half an hour. “Even strangers cheered for me. I passed them a few times during my run and they saw my DHL shirt. This cheering was a great additional motivation.”
For this year’s company run Stefanie draws a positive conclusion, “We all went on our own, but still all together for our team DHL Hub Leipzig.”
Nevertheless, Stefanie looks forward to a company run with her colleagues and runners from other companies: “Indeed, it is a special spirit to be together at the starting point. Also to give full speed over the last meters at the finish line because you see your own time – these are special moments” emphasizes Stefanie.
Until the next company run Stefanie keeps fit with running and exercises, such as push-ups and pull-ups in the park.
