An evening full of winners

At the last home match of SC DHfK Leipzig against THW Kiel, there was not only high tension on the pitch.

The DHL hub in Leipzig has set a remarkable example for children's and youth sport in the region and made it possible for 15 clubs to receive a cash injection of 500 euros each. This was done as part of the "My Club" campaign.

The draw for the generous cash prizes took place during the half-time break in front of more than 5,000 enthusiastic spectators. The event received prominent support from Martin Dulig, Minister of State for Economics, Labour and Transport, and Karsten Günther, Managing Director of SC DHfK Leipzig.

The "My Club" campaign was launched by DHL and has now become a firm tradition. The partnership between the DHL hub and SC DHfK Leipzig goes beyond the usual sponsorship. Promoting children's and youth sports in regional sports clubs is a matter close to both sides' hearts. The "My Club" campaign is an impressive example of how companies and sports clubs can do good together.

As part of the matchday presentation by DHL and SC DHfK Leipzig, 15 clubs from the region were drawn by lot to receive 500 euros each for their club work. Employees at the DHL hub were able to nominate their "favorite club" in advance, but all fans also had the opportunity to register their favorite at the DHL campaign stands in the foyer of the ARENA.

During the eagerly awaited half-time break, the 15 lucky clubs were drawn from the lottery drum, causing excitement and jubilation. Katharina Kienitz, Communications Department at the DHL Hub Leipzig, emphasized the great response: "The 'My Club' campaign went down really well. We had over 90 entries from the colleagues at the site alone. In addition, there were almost 200 entries on site. As we are celebrating our 15th anniversary at the DHL Hub this year, we are supporting 15 clubs."

The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the thrilling match between SC DHfK Leipzig and German record champions THW Kiel. The hall was sold out and a heart-stopping final developed on the pitch. It was the fourth time that DHL had been a matchday presenter - and each time it won.
