September 25, 2023 - DHL and the women's team of RB Leipzig announced their partnership today.

DHL today announced an exciting partnership with the women's Bundesliga team of RB Leipzig. The official announcement of this partnership took place on the airport apron of the world's largest DHL Express location and marks an exciting connection between the worlds of sports and logistics. What makes this partnership so special is that both companies are deeply rooted in shared values of speed, teamwork and passion for excellence, regardless of age, gender or background.

The partnership between DHL, represented by the DHL hub in Leipzig in the metropolitan region of Central Germany, and the women's team of RB Leipzig goes beyond conventional sponsorship. A joint corporate social responsibility (CSR) project is planned for the current season, with the aim of strengthening the values of diversity and tolerance in society. This demonstrates the commitment of both partners, not only in sports, but also in promoting positive social change.

Elio Curti, Managing Director at the DHL Leipzig hub, added: "With more than 7,000 employees, the DHL Leipzig hub is one of the largest employers in the region and we have taken our responsibility here seriously for more than 15 years. We are therefore delighted to have another strong partner at our side in the RBL women, with whom we can take our shared values from Leipzig to the world."

The partnership between DHL and RB Leipzig will be expanded even further as DHL will also join as an "Exclusive Partner" of RBLZ Gaming, the Red Bulls' eSports team, from the 2024/25 season. This demonstrates DHL's commitment, not only to traditional sports, but also to the emerging field of eSports.

Overall, this partnership shows how companies with similar values and visions can work together to leave a positive impact not only in business, but also in society. We can look forward to seeing how this partnership will impact the world of sports and logistics in the years to come. - Julia Ende
