Great music and good food at the Leipziger Markt Musik 2020
From 7 to 16 August there was festival atmosphere on Leipzig's market square and we were right in the middle of it. In these challenging times, the Leipziger Markt Musik was the first major cultural event in Leipzig.
In front of the historic background of the Old Town Hall, the guests were able to experience concert recordings and live music and enjoy delicious food. In times of the corona pandemic, it was the first appearance in front of an audience for many artists for months and we are proud that we were able to make this possible as a sponsor.
With summery temperatures and sunshine on every day of the event, the seats were almost always fully booked and the people celebrated lively - of course, following the distance and hygiene rules. “Great music, great atmosphere and delicious food. It was a real highlight, especially since it has been culturally quiet in the last few months”, says Julia Schönleiter from the DHL purchasing department, summarizing her visit at the Markt Musik with a smile.
In addition to musical virtuosos on the grand piano and virtuosos on the stove, visitors of the Markt Musik could also meet our DHL virtuosos on the aircraft wing. The DHL booth was always busy and the many visitors curiously looked at the aircraft container we had brought, puzzled the DHL giant puzzle to win a DHL polo, found out about jobs at the DHL hub or submitted their applications straight away. As a small gift, our DHL team distributed exclusive DHL headphones to all visitors to the Leipziger Markt Musik. - Stefan Macourek
