Supply chains play a vital role in the journey towards sustainability: a change that is pivotal for humanity, our planet, and businesses.

We brought decision makers, thought leaders, and industry stakeholders together to focus on the development of cleaner, greener logistics.

This collaborative response to the challenges of climate change is poised to usher in a fresh era centered around sustainable logistics. Through collective efforts with industry-leading experts and a commitment to ongoing innovation, we can address the challenges of the current climate emergency and create and share viable solutions.

Building on the success of our global Summit in Valencia, Spain, and the MEA Chapter in Dubai, UAE, we hosted the next regional milestone in our journey in vibrant Singapore, July 24 – 25, 2024.

Andrea Abegg is the Vice President of Global Fulfillment at The Estée Lauder Companies, a global leader in prestige beauty, operating in +150 countries. Andrea focuses on global, center-led strategic capabilities, partnering closely with the ELC Supply Chain Leadership Team. Under her leadership, Estée Lauder is focused on continuously improving Global Fulfillment. Focus is on the company’s D2C Online Acceleration, Warehouse and Transportation Global Capabilities, Fulfillment Disruption Management, and Scope 3 Sustainability.

Prior to joining the Estee Lauder Companies, Andrea has over 20 years’ experience in Global Supply Chain Operations, Fulfillment, Logistics, Freight Security and Project Management for global organizations including Intel, Apple, Amazon, Fitbit, and Snapchat. She also has broad cross-cultural professional experience, leading activities in West and East Europe, Middle East, North America, Latin America, and Asia. Andrea holds an MBA and BS Supply Chain Management.  

Vishal Agarwal

Vishal co-leads our sustainability practice, and leads our work in oil and gas, metals, and mining in Southeast Asia. He specializes in advising clients on end-to-end operations transformations, capital-project delivery, digital operations, and Industry 4.0. He is equally experienced in helping clients develop sound strategies.

Vishal’s experience in Industry 4.0 technologies—including automation, robotics, data and analytics—and the digitization of manufacturing spans sectors. He is one of the leaders of the Singapore Innovation & Learning Centers, our key capability-building hub and testbed for digital solutions.  

Vishal has extensive experience working in the energy sector. His clients include leading energy and process manufacturing companies. He has worked with clients across Australia, China, India, and Southeast Asia to implement holistic transformations that grow production and reduce costs, while building the capabilities of client teams. He regularly advises on resource productivity, supply chain, procurement, and manufacturing.

Irina Albanese

With over 25 years of experience (including 20 with DHL) in the airline and logistics industries, across 3 continents, Irina knows what it takes to keep things moving.  She heads up the DHL Innovation Center for the Middle East and Africa Region, a purpose-built platform to engage customers, start-ups, and industries on the future of logistics.

She is passionate about putting Sustainability on the agenda of DHL customers and partners and working together on innovative solutions to make supply chains greener. 

Irina holds a Masters of Business Administration Degree from Lancaster University, UK.

She has been calling Dubai home for the last 9 years; a mother of two Dubai-born ‘treasures’, her family embodies the vibrant multicultural tapestry that is the essence of the UAE.

 

Marissa Aliferis

Marissa Aliferis is Oracle's APAC Sustainability Lead and Market Maker.

In this dual role she helps Oracle, its customers and partners, leverage technology to operationalise sustainable business practices & meet stakeholder expectations.

She brings over 20 years of experience consulting for corporate and purpose-driven organisations, including Fortune 500 companies across the UK, Germany, and Australia, focusing on human centred business transformation.

Marissa's career began in community and family services, followed by roles in financial services with TD Waterhouse, ING, ANZ, and Accenture UK. She is also the founder of 'A Profitable Purpose', a social enterprise dedicated to helping for-purpose businesses maximise their impact.  Marissa’s diverse career and systems perspective give her unique insight into the role businesses can play across their value chains to create purposeful impact for people and planet.

Javier Bilbao

Javier Bilbao is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for DHL Supply Chain Asia Pacific (APAC). Based in Singapore, he is responsible for a team of over 52,000 employees across 12 countries, delivering best-in-class supply chain solutions to customers and partners across a multitude of industry sectors.  In addition, Javier is the DSC Global Board Sponsor for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) and the Transport and Service Logistics solutions.

 

Starting his career at the DHL Group in 2000 in the UK, Javier has held various management positions over the years, including extensive operational experience in diverse areas of the supply chain business. Between 2017 and 2023, he was CEO DHL Supply Chain Latin America, and a global board member of the DHL Group. Under his leadership, DHL Supply Chain Latin America grew strongly, becoming a key contributing region for the division.

Javier holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of the Basque Country and an Executive MBA from IE Business School in Madrid.

 

Katja Busch

Since February 2018 Katja Busch has been responsible for the Sales Organization &DHL Customer Solutions Innovation as Chief Commercial Officer Head of CSI at DHL Group.
From January 2013 – January 2018 Katja Busch was Chief Sales Officer (CSO) DHL Parcel Germany in the Post – eCommerce – Parcel division. Prior to this she was Divisional Board Member for DHL Parcel for over six years in the Mail division at Deutsche Post AG responsible for domestic sales including customer service for Parcel. Appointed CSO DHL Parcel Germany in 2013, Busch assumed overall responsibility for customer service for both Mail and Parcel business units, including 22 call centers operated by Deutsche Post Customer Service GmbH. From March 2014 – January 2018 she headed international customer service for the Group’s Post – eCommerce – Parcel division. In August 2016 she also assumed responsibility for the newly created Global eCom* Key Account Management unit.
Following an education in natural sciences, Busch spent seven years in various sales roles at TNT Express Germany before moving to DHL Group in 1997. After serving as service branch head and business department head, she was appointed Head

of Marketing & Sales in January 2004 at DHL Express Austria based in Vienna. In March 2006 she was appointed Divisional Board Member for DHL Parcel Germany.

Kyu-Sang Cho

Since Jul 2022, Kyusang is the Head of Daimler Truck Sales & Marketing in Daimler Truck (Daimler Commericial Vehicles South East Asia Pte. Ltd.), responsible for sales market management, marketing, product management of Mercedes-Benz & Fuso trucks for 24 markets of the region South East Asia incl. Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, Hong Kong and SAARC/Oceania markets. Under the Daimler Truck vision of ‘Sustainable Transportation’, he is leading the team to provide solutions to truck customers seeking sustainable transportation via zero-emission vehicles and higher emission standard diesel trucks.

He started automotive career as R&D engineer (1996-1999) with Samsung Motors (currently Renault Korea), worked for Scania Korea (2000-2005) as manager responsible for technical support & training, then joined Mercedes-Benz Korea in 2005 to take the role of service operation manager for Mercedes-Benz cars & trucks. He was the Head of Service & Parts for Mercedes-Benz Korea (2013-2015) responsible for aftersales business, before he became the CEO of Daimler Trucks Korea (2015 Jul -2022 Jul) responsible for sales & marketing, services for Mercedes-Benz Truck/Bus/Van for South Korean market.

Kyusang graduated with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Yonsei University in Korea.

Rob Cooper

Since 2020, Rob has led the business development team for Asia as part of bp’s Gas & Low Carbon Team. Rob has worked for bp for over nine years with roles across upstream commercial, business development, portfolio, and strategy. Prior to bp, Rob worked in strategy consulting in the energy sector for Accenture in London and subsurface at Engie.

 

Scott Copeland

Global strategy and execution leader with extensive experience in process and system transformation, innovation, automation, and start-ups. 30 years of experience in global and regional senior leadership roles, previously with Schneider Electric, DHL Supply Chain, Electronics OEMs, and Industrial manufacturing. My focus is on complex global transformation programs that include organisational and corporate cultural change.

In Dyson I am ultimately responsible for the digital and physical transformation of the logistics network, the organisational structures and competencies of global logistics, and the execution of operational standards designed to meet customer expectations.

Focussing on the right balance between operational cost control, predictive analytics, and innovation ensures the global supply chain outperforms its competitors in end-to-end lead time and delivery experience.

Dr. Klaus Dohrmann

As Vice President, Head of Innovation & Trend Research for DHL Customer Solutions and Innovation (CSI), Dr. Klaus Dohrmann is responsible for positioning DHL as the thought leader in the logistics industry and beyond as well as delivering customer-centric innovation. This includes the publication of THE Logistics Trend Radar , an acclaimed benchmark for strategy and innovation in the logistics industry, as well as deep-dive Trend Reports. In an end-to-end approach his global team also drives innovation from customer engagements, technology scouting, and research to proof of concepts and commercial solutions. His area of responsibility also includes the DHL SmartSolutions IOT team providing global IoT solutions for the purpose of supply chain visibility, operational excellence, customer experience, and employee safety. 

Eu-Lin Fang

PwC

Eu-Lin leads the Sustainability & Climate Change practice across PwC Singapore, drives the PwC Asia Pac Centre for Sustainability Excellence based in Singapore and is a member of global sustainability leadership teams at PwC. She is also the Asia Pacific Sustainable Finance Leader. Prior to assuming the Sustainability & Climate Change practice head role at PwC Singapore in 2016, she was a financial services specialist partner. She supports organisations in the real economy and financial sector across a range of sustainability priorities which include decarbonisation, climate and nature risk, reporting, assurance, sustainable supply chains, social, and financial services.

Eu-Lin graduated with a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard University and is an alumnus of Harvard Business School. As a practicing Singapore Chartered Accountant, she believes that accountants can play an important role in fighting climate change and advancing sustainability in business and in the community.

She serves on a board and a committee under the Ministry of Sustainability and Environment, and serves on the ACRA-SGX Regco Sustainability Reporting Advisory Committee and MAS Corporate Governance Advisory Committee. She is the Chairman of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants Sustainability Committee which supports in capacity building, technical review of sustainability reporting standards and engaging the accounting community on emerging sustainability issues. She also serves on boards of education and healthcare institutes in the public sector.

Noelle Froehlich

Senior Expert Clean Operations

Noelle is a senior expert in DHL Group’s Clean Operations office. The Clean Operations office coordinates target setting and progress towards achievement, governs implementations measures to decarbonize and supports DHL Group’s journey towards net zero. The focus of Noelle’s work lies on Science-based Target Setting, Carbon Accounting Standards and Initiatives, Book & Claim and the decarbonization of logistics as a hard-to-abate industry. Before joining DHL in 2017, Noelle studied International Relations and Management in Germany and gained international study and work experiences in Ethiopia, Peru, South Africa and Kenya.

 

Michael Greeven

Michiel Greeven is Executive Vice President Global Commercial at DHL Express and a member of the Global Management Board. In this capacity, he is responsible for the commercial development of DHL Express worldwide, contributing to DHL’s market share and profitability growth.

Michiel has over 30 years of experience in logistics with DHL Group. He has held senior positions in different company divisions in sales, operations and general management in international markets including Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands, as well as having worked frequently on the European and Global level. Prior to his appointment as EVP Global Commercial in 2023, he was EVP Sales for both Global and Europe, and prior to this he was the CEO of DHL Express Netherlands.

He holds a Master’s degree in economics from the University of Groningen (Netherlands).

Michiel is a Dutch citizen, is married and has three children. In his spare time he likes to participate in sport and exercise (field hockey, running and swimming) and loves fine wine and dining.

Leah Kaplan

APAC Sustainability Business Lead

Leah is the APAC Sustainability Business Lead at Google Cloud. After graduating from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Leah fell in love with the problems that could be solved and the transparency that could be brought to business through data. Leah also has a strong interest in geospatial analysis, and how that can be used to understand sustainability problems.

Leah has extensive industry experience providing cloud-driven solutions to business challenges, and is passionate about helping customers to build sustainable business models, and to embed climate resilience to ensure the long-term health of the planet and their businesses. She is the winner of the 2022 ARN WIICTA Technical Award, and has completed The Future of Sustainable Business course at Oxford University.

Meng Huat Wong

Meng Huat has over 30 years of experience in the Supply Chain Industry, specializing in Service Logistics. He has successfully led digital transformation initiatives, focusing on people, processes, and tools. For the past decade, Meng Huat has been with DHL, where he has played a key role in advancing circularity concepts. His efforts have enabled customers to achieve higher asset return velocity through enhanced visibility, tracking, and transport optimization. This approach minimizes the need for new purchases and promotes the reuse or recycling of returns, leading to more effective inventory management and significant carbon footprint reduction.

Marcus LeMaster

Marcus LeMaster is a senior supply chain professional with over 30 years of global, cross-functional leadership experience spanning both supply chain and technology.  Marcus is in the global logistics transformation organization at Schneider Electric and leads the development and delivery of the company’s logistics sustainability strategy, with a primary focus on decarbonization of the company’s global freight transportation.

Marcus joined Schneider Electric in 2014 and is based in Singapore.  He has an educational background in Economics, IT, and Supply Chain with an MSc in Logistics & Supply Chain Management from Cranfield University in the UK.  He holds a chartered Professional Logistician designation from The Logistic Institute Canada.

 

Mathilde Lerda

Hannah Lim

With a curiosity and a desire to constantly learn, Hannah Lim takes on every role and challenge the same way: through collaborating, challenging status quo, and learning from others.

Hannah has been working in Sustainable Supply Chain since 2021, this includes a thesis on ‘Sustainable Temperature Controlled Warehouse’. As a regional leader, she focuses on improving logistics flow to optimize distribution and rethink packaging materials when possible. She also works closely with the manufacturing sites to drive operational efficiencies to reduce carbon emissions, water consumption and waste management. Additionally, she collaborates with key customers to bring Sustainability wins across to them with mutual understanding of doing what is “right”.

Hannah is based in Singapore and joined Cytiva since 2021. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management and Sociology.

 

Chao Liu

Since 2022 Chao Liu has been Chairman and CEO of SuperPanther Power Technology Co. Ltd which is recognized as one of the leading technology companies of electric heavy-duty truck. The company has been invested by leading venture funds, such as Sequoia and Xiaomi Shunwei to enable global Net Zero cargo transportation.

Based on years of study and working in Germany and China, Chao Liu is equipped with multi-culture background and more than fifteen-years executive leadership experience in both world leading automotive supplier and startup technology companies, specialized in organization development, market and product strategy, automotive operation management, and venture capital financing.

Carsten Lützenkirchen

Carsten Lützenkirchen is a Senior Vice President at DHL Customer Solutions & Innovation (CSI) leading several global commercial functions including sustainability engagement for DP DHL’s largest customers across six market sectors. 

He is also Co-Author of the recently published Whitepaper “Delivering on Circularity – Pathways for Fashion and Consumer Electronics published. 

Over the past 25 years Carsten has held several leading positions in DP DHL in e-Commerce, Product and Strategic Management in Germany, Europe and the USA.

Carsten holds a Master‘s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Essen in Germany.

Daniel NG

Chief Sustainability Officer / Senior Director (Aviation Development Group)

Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore

Daniel was appointed the Chief Sustainability Officer in 2022 to develop, implement and review domestic and international climate change targets, policies and strategies across CAAS and the Singapore aviation sector. He also represents Singapore on the ICAO Committee on Aviation Environment Protection.

Daniel is concurrently Senior Director (Aviation Development Group) where he oversees long term policies and plans to maintain Singapore’s competitiveness as an international air hub. These include air transport policy, industry development initiatives, oversight of airport infrastructure development and planning, as well as service and economic regulation of airport operations.

With almost 20 years of aviation experience, Daniel has held appointments in the Corporate Development, Air Transport and Aviation Industry Divisions of CAAS.

Daniel graduated magna cum laude with a double major in Economics and Government from Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, USA.

Pradeep Nair

Pradeep is the Global Head, Structured Solutions and Development (SSD), which is the industries focused team for Trade and Working capital Finance. SSD is responsible for Structured Trade Finance, Sustainable Finance and Distributor Finance in the Bank. The industry leads in the team deliver curated value propositions to clients.

In 2021, Pradeep led the development of an industry first Sustainable Trade and Working Capital framework for Standard Chartered. He is also the current Co-Chair of BAFT (Bankers Association of Finance and Trade) global sustainability working group.

Pradeep has 24 years of banking experience across various roles and regions. His earlier roles included heading teams within Corporate Finance and coverage based in Hong Kong, Dubai and India. 

Christopher Ong

Mr. Christopher Ong is currently the Managing Director of DHL Express Singapore, a position he has held since November 2018.  Responsible for driving sustainable growth in this key market, Chris has been focused on delivering great service quality to loyal customers through a highly motivated workforce.  A strong advocate of corporate stewardship, Chris has also been invited to share his views publicly and at business forums on a variety of business topics including sustainability, SME strategies, trade and logistics, e-commerce, digitalization, people engagement and leadership.

Chris joined DHL in 2006 and was responsible for Mergers and Acquisitions, Partnerships and Planning, First Choice (Six sigma) and GoGreen corporate programmes for Asia-Pacific. In October 2011, he was appointed Country Manager of DHL Express Vietnam before he took on the role of Managing Director for Malaysia and Brunei in March 2014. Prior to joining DHL, Chris worked at Temasek Holdings, where he was involved in transactions in the Transport, Logistics, Telecom, Media, Technology, and Manufacturing sectors. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University, US.

Indrie Tjahjadi

Indrie is a Director with PwC Singapore’s Sustainability & Climate Change practice, specialising on sustainability reporting and assurance. She helps clients with sustainability-related strategy, capacity building, reporting and obtaining assurance across a range of Environmental, Social and Governance issues. She focuses on the application of the ISSB Standards and over the past year, she has assisted organisations in the implementation journey. She has over 17 years of professional experience and started her career as a financial auditor. She is experienced in managing wide range of industries and clients - both public and large private entities. She is a member of the PwC Global TCFD and the ESG reporting and assurance working group.

 

Steffen Treiber

Steffen Treiber is the Senior Vice President of Airfreight for DHL Global Forwarding in the Asia Pacific region. With a remarkable career spanning over 20 years in the airfreight industry, Steffen has held numerous leadership positions across key markets in Asia Pacific, including Hong Kong, South China, the Philippines, and Vietnam. He joined DHL Group in 2018 as the Head of Airfreight, Asia Pacific, and has since made significant contributions to the company's growth strategy.

 

J. Florian Pfaff

J. Florian Pfaff has been a cornerstone of Lufthansa Cargo's leadership team for over three decades, demonstrating remarkable expertise and strategic vision. Since June 2019, he has served as the Vice President for the Asia Pacific region, based in Singapore. In this role, Pfaff oversees operations across a diverse and rapidly evolving market, driving innovation and growth. His tenure in this region is marked by a keen focus on enhancing operational efficiencies and expanding the company's market presence in one of the world's most competitive logistics hubs.

Prior to his current position, Pfaff was the Vice President for Germany from May 2011 to May 2019, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening Lufthansa Cargo's domestic market.

Between June 2006 and April 2011, Pfaff was the Vice President for Europe and Africa, where he successfully implemented strategic initiatives that boosted market share and operational performance across these key regions.

Pfaff's earlier roles reflect a robust career marked by progressive responsibility and geographic diversity. From January 2000 to December 2004, he was the Director of Sales for USA West, USA South, Mexico, Central America, Caribbean

 

Rajeev Peshawaria

Dominic Regan

Dominic Regan is the Senior Director for Oracle's Value Chain Execution portfolio across Western Europe including Oracle Transportation Management, Oracle Warehouse Management, Oracle Global Trade Management and Landed Cost Management Business course at Oxford University.

Prior to Oracle's acquisition of G-Log in 2005, Dominic had worked for the company since 2001, where he headed up the International Business Development team. In this role, Dominic was also responsible for marketing and PR across Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Dominic spent 13 years with one of the main supply chain software vendors developing and managing warehouse management system implementations for a variety of customers around the world, primarily in the retail and defence industries. He worked on the strategic UK Defence logistics projects for both the Royal Air Force and the British Army, implementing best business practice into legacy operations.

Dominic has an Honors Degree in Transport at the University of Plymouth and a Master’s Degree in Transport Management from the University of Westminster.

Florian Schwarz

As Head of Sustainability in DHL Customer Solutions & Innovation (CSI), Florian Schwarz is responsible to drive the Sustainability agenda for and with the top 100 customers across the Deutsche Post DHL divisions. This includes achieving a carbon footprint reduction through the GoGreen product portfolio of clean fuel & technology, supply-chain optimization, and circularity solutions. It also means educating DHL’s sales organization on sustainability and demonstrating thought leadership inside and outside of the organization.

In his previous role in DHL CSI, Florian was responsible for the Program Office and the Coronavirus Customer Taskforce. Before that, with DHL Global Forwarding, Florian created and lead the After-Sales Organization which took customer reporting and issue resolution to a new level, building on his extended experience as Lean Six-Sigma Blackbelt and Head of Strategy France. Florian holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and lived and worked in different countries in Europe and Americas.

He was also a Commissioner of the Business and Sustainable Development Commission (BSDC) in 2016. Dave works closely with customers to understand the market transitions influencing their businesses, and within Cisco, works cross-functionally with teams to design and implement innovative go-to-market models for customers' multiyear digital transformation initiatives. He is passionate about driving a people-first culture, creating opportunities for employee growth, and building diverse, high-performing teams. 

Dave is a 23-year Cisco veteran with over 28 years of experience in the ICT industry. In his previous role he was President and General Manager for Cisco Japan, where he managed all aspects of the Japanese market, and before that, he led Worldwide Sales for Enterprise Networks, with responsibility for the sales, solutions, and engineering motions to deliver innovation and transformation across Cisco’s core portfolio.

Prior to that, Dave was the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Architectures leader for Enterprise Networks, Data Center, Security, and Collaboration in Asia Pacific and Japan. He was responsible for capturing market transitions, delivering sustained competitive leadership, and driving growth across all technologies. He has held various leadership roles within Cisco across the Worldwide Sales, Global Partner and Public Sector organizations.

Dave is a former Marine Officer, graduated from the Virginia Military Institute, and holds an MS in Information Systems from the Naval Postgraduate School.
