DHL Supply Chain Talks About the Power and Support of Women in Logistics on International Women's Day

Press Release: Warsaw, 8 March

On a day when the whole world celebrates Women's Day, DHL Supply Chain, the global leader in the logistics industry, speaks out about its commitment to promoting gender equality and the role played by empowering women at every organisational level.

As part of its International Women's Day celebrations, DHL Supply Chain is proud to highlight the contribution of women to growth and innovation in logistics. The company recognises that the key to success lies in a diverse and inclusive workplace, where women's capabilities are not only valued, but are also the foundation for growth. For DHL Supply Chain, the foundation is equal rights that are respected by everyone, as well as the approach that competence has no gender. In practice, this means that no one needs special treatment or reduced criteria, and instead, the potential of female experience or perspectives is worth exploiting.
These, although different from men's, are universal and can bring new values to the life and development of the company.

“At DHL Supply Chain, we believe that supporting women and promoting their role in the logistics industry is not only a matter of equality but above all, a smart business strategy,” says Petr Kana, Managing Director Poland, DHL Supply Chain. “Our female managers and employees prove every day that female competence is irreplaceable in building well-thought-out, flexible and efficient logistics services.”

#ImSure

In the light of such commitment, DHL Supply Chain is marking and recognising the contribution of three of its female managers: Wioletta Podstawka, Katarzyna Matuszewska and Agata Wydmańska in the #Imsure campaign, which aims to highlight the strength, confidence and success of women in different areas of their professional lives. Their stories, full of commitment, determination and passion, are a source of inspiration not only for other women in the industry, but also for the entire organisation, reaffirming DHL Supply Chain's commitment to creating a space conducive to women's professional development.

“Activities such as our participation in the #ImSure campaign, among others, are an expression of the internal need to speak about the role of women today, our development and empowerment, but also the company's philosophy of diversity and inclusion. We show that the path to success in our industry is open to everyone, regardless of gender. There is great value in working in an organisation where every voice matters and diversity is its greatest strength. Where everyone has a plan and tasks to perform, and they are held accountable for them.” - adds Wioletta Podstawka, Head of Resourcing Center CEE, DHL Supply Chain.
