Press Release: Stockholm, February 3, 2020
DHL Freight Sweden has been named Top Employer Sweden, a certification from the Top Employer Institute which is awarded to the world's leading employers. The Top Employer certification identifies employers that offer the best work environment for employees to develop both professionally and personally.
- We are proud and pleased that DHL Freight Sweden has been certified as Top Employer. The loyalty and professionalism of our approximately 2,400 employees in Sweden ensures that we deliver first-class service to our customers. For me, it is important that we continuously develop our employees through our certified training programs to increase the expertise of all employees and create commitment, pride and passion within DHL Freight, says Robert Zander, CEO of DHL Freight Sweden.
– The key to our company's success is our employees. In order to deliver market-leading quality, it is important that we have a safe and secure work environment that we constantly develop, that we have good communication, offer good development opportunities, and that our employees feel motivated, appreciated and committed. Being certified as a Top Employer is a confirmation that our work takes us in the right direction and strengthens our position as an attractive employer, says Tom Gibel, HR Director at DHL Freight Sweden.
The Top Employer certification is nominated by the Top Employer Institute and is a program designed to appoint employers who create optimal conditions for their employees to develop both professionally and personally. The Top Employer Institute annually conducts a survey of best practices in HR around the world, measuring nine different main criteria. Important areas include: leadership development, performance management, career development and learning and development.
The first step in the certification process is a comprehensive analysis of the company's HR work. Once completed, the Top Employers Institute determines which companies have met the requirements required to become Top Employer certified.
