New Managing Director for DHL Freight in Sweden

DHL Freight strengthens its operations in Sweden with a new Managing Director. On January 1, 2025, Mathias Krümmel will take on the role of Managing Director to increase the focus on growth in Sweden.

Since 2019, Robert Zander has been CEO of DHL Freight Sweden. In 2022, he also took on the role of CEO for the Nordic and Baltic countries. Robert Zander has steered the business through a turbulent time with high inflation, war in Ukraine and other challenges in the outside world. Under his leadership, DHL Freight has taken important steps in cost control and efficiency, as well as developed in quality, digitalization and sustainability, and more and more Swedish companies are choosing DHL Freight as their logistics partner.

"Sweden is one of DHL Freight's most important markets and requires a great deal of focus. I am pleased that we get the opportunity to welcome Mathias Krümmel to DHL and the Managing Director role in Sweden. The appointment of Mathias Krümmel is a natural part of the global strategy for the DHL Group, with the goal of increasing revenues by 50 percent by 2030. At the same time, it strengthens the conditions for a global local presence for DHL in Sweden. Mathias' many years of experience in logistics, parcel operations and e-commerce is a perfect match to continue developing DHL Freight's overall offering and operations in the Swedish market.

Mathias Krümmel joins DHL Freight from a previous position at PostNord, where he has been CEO of Swedish operations. In his new role, he will report to Robert Zander.
