DHL SUPPLY CHAIN THAILAND RECOGNIZED AS A GREAT PLACE TO WORK®

Press Release: Bangkok, Thailand – Aug. 19, 2021

  • DHL’s commitment to a #ConnectedPeople culture provides a positive working environment for employees
  • Employee engagement goes virtual, to ensure employees stay connected and are kept informed of business direction

DHL Supply Chain (“DHL”), the global market leader in contract logistics solutions, has been recognized as a Great Place To Work® in Thailand, an acknowledgement that can be credited to the company’s dedication to its #ConnectedPeople culture, which is anchored around health and safety, collaboration, and service and operational excellence.

Mr. Steve Walker, CEO of DHL Supply Chain Thailand Cluster said, “At DHL, people are at the heart of our company and we invest in activities that focus on keeping them safe and engaged, while encouraging them to collaborate as a team to achieve high performance. At the same time, we ensure everybody is set up for success, and given equal opportunities regardless of gender, age, religion, and nationality. This recognition speaks volumes about the way we apply our company’s values to everything we do. I absolutely believe that having committed and happy employees is key to ensuring that we provide excellent service to our customers. We’re incredibly proud of this recognition as it is a testament of our #ConnectedPeople culture and its importance to the success of our business and our customers.”

DHL encourages diversity and inclusion in day-to-day working life to ensure everybody is being treated fairly by promoting a culture of feedback and sharing. Employees are also given access to talent and certified training programs to develop their careers and skills.

Employee engagement is also an important part of the company’s DNA and is key to honing a  world-class working environment. This commitment has not waned despite the ongoing pandemic – in fact, the company is investing more in health and well-being programs and community activities. Despite the pandemic, DHL seized the opportunity to accelerate digitalization to improve virtual employee engagement. For example, DHL has been leveraging SmartConnect, an internal platform for employees to connect with fellow employees and share personal stories, including their positive vaccination experiences and community projects such as tree-planting at home.

Mr. Boonma Chaisatiensap, Vice President Human Resources of DHL Supply Chain Thailand Cluster said, “We’re incredibly grateful to every employee who continue to do their best, despite these challenging times brought upon us by the pandemic. Being recognized as a Great Place To Work® is only made possible by them  and their engagement with  fellow employees and the organization. The physical and mental wellbeing of all our employees is a priority for us, and we will continue to strive to give them a workplace they are happy to be at every day.”

DHL Supply Chain Vietnam, which is part of the Thailand Cluster that includes Thailand, Cambodia and Myanmar, has also been successfully re-certified as a Great Place To Work® for another year. This is testament to the continued importance which the company places on engaging employees through virtual get-togethers and team bonding activities when physical meetups were not feasible during periods of lockdowns.

Every year, Great Place To Work®, a global people analytics and consulting firm, assesses the work experience of employees through their certification program. The judging for this accolade considers the following criteria: Credibility, Fairness, Pride, and Camaraderie. Over 7,300 employees from DHL Vietnam and Thailand participated in the survey.
