MEIN VEREIN - Strong together for children's and youth sport in the region

Shaping the Future of Grassroots Sports Together

Since 2020, DHL Hub Leipzig and SC DHfK Leipzig have teamed up to support youth development in regional sports clubs. Through the "My Club" initiative, we support ten clubs in the region every year with a €500 donation. Our goal is to strengthen grassroots sports and create a better future for young talents.

Launch of the initiative in 2020

The “My Club” initiative was launched in 2020 through the partnership between DHL Drehkreuz Leipzig and SC DHfK Leipzig Handball. Both partners recognized early on how important it is to promote children and youth work in the region's sports clubs. The cooperation forms the basis for strengthening regional popular sport in the long term and actively supporting clubs.

500 euros for ten clubs per year

Every year, ten children's and youth sports clubs are selected to receive 500 euros each. This money flows directly into projects that improve youth work and training conditions. This financial support enables the clubs to realize important projects that might otherwise not be possible. The cooperation between DHL and SC DHfK ensures that grassroot sport in the region is promoted in the long term.

More than just financial support - visibility for clubs

In addition to financial support, the initiative helps the clubs to make their work visible. Through the media channels of DHL and SC DHfK, the clubs can present their successes and projects to a wide audience. In addition, representatives from DHL and SC DHfK visit the clubs on site to get to know their youth work better and bring it to the public's attention. This media presence ensures more attention and recognition for the regional sports clubs.

Only you decide which clubs end up in the lottery drum. So enter a raffle ticket for your favorite club now. Whether you are part of the team at the DHL Leipzig hub or support SC DHfK Leipzig as a passionate fan - anyone can take part and secure their club the chance to win €500, because in the end the lottery drum decides which club is the winner.

FAQ – "My Club" Initiative

  • The "My Club" initiative is a project by DHL Hub Leipzig and the handball team SC DHfK Leipzig that supports regional sports clubs in Central Germany, particularly in children's and youth sports.

  • Participation in the competition is only possible from October 26 to to December 15, 2024.

  • Eligible participants are sports clubs registered within a radius of 100km around DHL Hub Leipzig, Hermann-Köhl-Str.1, 04435 Schkeuditz. The person submitting on behalf of the club is not eligible to win.

  • Up to 10 winning clubs will receive €500 each to support their club activities.

  • Participation can be done either through a Smart Connect form from DHL Hub Leipzig, the website dhl.com/MeinVerein, or on a defined event day by submitting a postcard entry before the halftime break of a specified SC DHfK Leipzig handball Bundesliga game.

  • The winning clubs will be drawn after December 15, 2024 and notified in January 2025.

  • Entries that did not win will be destroyed or deleted immediately after the event concludes.

  • Participation is not dependent on the purchase of goods or the use of services. Multiple submissions from the same club will be counted as a single entry.

  • The collected personal data (e.g., name, email address) will be used exclusively for the execution and processing of the raffle and will be deleted after the raffle is completed.

  • Details regarding the delivery of the prize (shipping, handover, etc.) will be discussed directly with DHL Hub Leipzig.

  • The prize can be revoked and reclaimed if the participation conditions are not adhered to.

  • Questions, comments, or complaints about the raffle should be directed exclusively to DHL Hub Leipzig at the email address lejhub-socialmedia@dhl.com.

  • Yes, the terms of participation are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, and the right to legal action is excluded.
