Customer Challenge
“We have a large customer base spanning both B2B and B2C, and we found our previous logistics provider was no longer a good fit: we were having to spend considerable time ensuring they met our SLAs. We also found their processes cumbersome and their deliveries would let us down,” explains UP2Tech’s E-Commerce Director, Taylan Blanco. “We could see it was preventing our sales from growing.”
UP2Tech had plans to raise the bar and transform their business, however they knew they couldn’t do this without a logistics plan that was structured and robust. Key to the plan was scalable fulfillment. They also wanted to maintain control of their logistics.
The next job was to find a provider who could deliver on this.
DHL Fulfillment Network Solution
“From our initial conversations with the DHL Fulfillment Network, we knew we had found a company that spoke our language,” says Taylan.
The DHL Fulfillment Network has a global warehouse infrastructure, allowing customers to store their stock close to their customers. Goods are picked and packed efficiently, and links with last-mile transport operators are seamless. Integration with customers’ webshops or ERPs is straightforward too. And because it’s scalable, companies can scale up for promotions or peak season, and can then scale back down.
“The team at DHL manage our entire e-commerce logistics, from receiving and checking inbound goods, to storing, picking had despatching them,” notes Taylan, “and we have access to their advanced inventory insights tool and also MySupplyChain, both of which allow us to see stock levels and movements by location, and this helps us plan.”
This ‘green logistics ’ approach helps companies achieve their sustainability goals: when goods are stored close to end customers, this reduces transport times and costs – and ultimately a company’s carbon footprint. This helps companies achieve their sustainability goals. And when stock is monitored, customers don’t have to air freight goods in a panic to meet orders.
“The DHL team are specialists at what they do. We were particularly impressed that moving to the DHL Fulfillment Network took only six weeks – and this was also right before Black Friday!”

The figures speak volumes: the company’s monthly sales have grown to R$50 million (almost €8 million).
“We have ironed out the bottlenecks we’d been experiencing prior to working with DHL and, due to the well-designed processes and continuous improvement approach of DHL, we have achieved a near-zero return rate.”
Not only have UP2Tech freed up time to concentrate on their core business, but they have also freed up capital thanks to the DHL Fulfillment Network’s pay-as-you-go model.
“We have stability, and we have security,” says UP2Tech CEO, Rodrigo Abreu. “We also know we have a highly qualified project team at DHL, which gives us the confidence to grow further. We are considering also using the DHL Fulfillment Network to boost our online sales in North America.”
