“We have a large customer base spanning both B2B and B2C, and we found our previous logistics provider was no longer a good fit: we were having to spend considerable time ensuring they met our SLAs. We also found their processes cumbersome and their deliveries would let us down,” explains UP2Tech’s E-Commerce Director, Taylan Blanco. “We could see it was preventing our sales from growing.”

“From our initial conversations with the DHL Fulfillment Network, we knew we had found a company that spoke our language,” says Taylan.

Goods are picked and packed efficiently, and links with last-mile transport operators are seamless. Integration with customers’ webshops or ERPs is straightforward too. And because it’s scalable, companies can scale up for promotions or peak season, and can then scale back down.

“The team at DHL manage our entire e-commerce logistics, from receiving and checking inbound goods, to storing, picking had despatching them,” notes Taylan, “and we have access to their advanced inventory insights tool and also MySupplyChain, both of which allow us to see stock levels and movements by location, and this helps us plan.”

This ‘green logistics ’ approach helps companies achieve their sustainability goals: when goods are stored close to end customers, this reduces transport times and costs – and ultimately a company’s carbon footprint.
