DHL Express Photo Contest 2024

DHL Express will be hosting a photo contest featuring DHL aircraft and vehicles, as photographed by you! Capture the eye-catching yellow DHL aircraft and vehicles in various locations and post the photos on your Instagram profile with the hashtag "#DHLPhotoContest2024".

When submitting your entry, please carefully read and adhere to the following application guidelines and terms and conditions.

【Application Period】

・Until August 31, 2024 (Saturday) at 23:59

【Theme】

・Dynamic DHL aircraft and vehicles

【Eligibility】

・Participants must be Japan residents or living in Japan for the period of the Contest.

・Participants must have an Instagram account (must not be a fake account).

・If participants are under 18 years old, it will be assumed that they have obtained parental consent for all terms and conditions.

・Participants must have their Instagram posts set to public (private accounts are not eligible).

・Participants must agree to these terms and conditions as well as the submission requirements.

【Application Process】Please review the guidelines and terms.

・Capture a photo of DHL aircraft and/or vehicles.

・Follow DHL Japan's official Instagram account: @dhlexpressjapan .

・Post the photo from your own account with the hashtag #DHLPhotoContest2024 and include the location where the photo was taken.

【Submission Requirements】

・Photo orientation: Landscape (Vertical photos will not be considered.)

・The photo must be taken in Japan.

・Avoid objects (such as buildings) and individuals that infringe on copyright or personal privacy.

・Please include only aircraft or vehicles that are DHL branded.

・Image file size: Minimum 2MB, maximum 20MB

・Image file format: JPEG

・Basic adjustments such as color tone, brightness, sharpness, and cropping are allowed. However, images with significant modifications (such as compositing with other backgrounds) may be excluded from the selection process.

・Previously posted photos tagging @dhlexpressjapan on Instagram may be re-submitted.

・Photos taken in areas where the general public is prohibited are not eligible.

【Selection/Announcement of Winners】

・Selection will be limited to photos submitted by individuals who have agreed to these terms and followed the campaign application process.

・Submitted photos will undergo a rigorous selection process by DHL Japan representatives.

・The announcement of winners is scheduled for early September 2024.

・Winning photos will be featured in the 2025 DHL Desktop Calendar and may be featured on DHL's digital platforms.

・Grand Prize: 1 winner (for the cover)

・Runner-up: Up to 12 winners (for pages other than the cover)

・Winners will receive 3 copies of the 2025 edition of the DHL Desktop Calendar and 1 DHL original water bottle.

【Handling of Submitted Photos】

・The copyright and equivalent rights of the submitted photos belong to the photographer. However, the photographer agrees to grant DHL the right to use the photos for promotional activities and exclusively in the 2025 DHL Desktop Calendar, without time limitations and without making any claims based on moral rights.

・Editing and modifications may be made to the winning photos for calendar production purposes.

・Changes or replacements of the winning photos are not permitted.

In participating in the DHL Express Photo Contest 2024 ("Contest") organized by DHL Japan Inc., all entrants will be deemed to have agreed to these terms and conditions.

【Eligibility】

・Participants must be Japan residents or living in Japan for the period of the Contest.

【Application rules and regulations】

・Photos submitted must be taken by the entrant themselves and the entrant must hold the copyright to the photo.

・Please ensure that the photos do not infringe upon the rights of third parties, including but not limited to, portrait rights, copyrights, and other rights.

・Photos that have won awards in other photo contests are not eligible for submission.

・Each entrant can submit only one photo per entry. In the case of multiple submissions from the same account, only the first photo will be considered for judging. The maximum number of submissions from the same account is 3.

Prohibited Actions：

In relation to participation in this contest, the following actions are prohibited. If the Company determines that any of these prohibited actions have been taken, the Company may delete the submitted posts or comments without prior notice to the entrant.

・Engaging in or encouraging activities that involve taking photos within restricted areas or violating laws and regulations.

・Infringing upon the honor, privacy, portrait rights, copyrights, or other intellectual property rights of others.

・Interfering with the operation of this contest or hindering other participants.

・Engaging in activities for profit or preparing for such activities.

・Engaging in expressions that include defamation, threats, harassment, discrimination, or expressions related to ethnicity, religion, race, gender, age, or expressions that may lead to discrimination.

・Associating with or encouraging criminal activities.

・Expressing sexually explicit, obscene, or violent content, or content that may cause discomfort to others.

・Violating public order and morals or common sense.

・Engaging in activities with political or religious purposes.

・Violating the terms of use of Instagram.

・Any other actions that the Company deems unsuitable for this contest.

【Selection/Announcement of Winners】

・Please note that inquiries about the reasons for selection will not be accepted.

・The photos of the winners will be announced on Instagram, and the winners will be contacted via Instagram DM (Direct Message). Please make sure to follow @dhlexpressjapan.

・If you are not following @dhlexpressjapan or do not respond within 5 days after the DM is sent, the winning status may be invalidated.

・After receiving a message from the Company, please submit the photo in the specified file size and format mentioned in the submission requirements. If there is a credit (account name) to be included in the photo, you will be informed at that time.

【Disclaimer】

・In the event of a dispute or any damages caused to a third party related to the participation in this contest, the entrant shall resolve the dispute with the third party by their own responsibility and expense, and the Company shall not be held liable or involved

・If an entrant violates these Terms and Conditions and causes damages to the Company, the Company may take legal action against the entrant.

・The Company shall not be held responsible for any damages arising from the use or suspension of this contest.

・If the Company determines that an entrant has violated these Terms and Conditions, the Company may take necessary measures such as deleting the entrant's posts or comments. The Company shall not be held responsible for any damages incurred by the entrant as a result of such measures.

・The usage location and other aspects of the winning photos in the Company's desktop calendar will be determined by the Company.

【Handling of Personal Information】

・Personal information refers to information that can identify a specific individual, such as address, name, phone number, email address, etc., which is provided to the Company through this contest.

・When collecting personal information through this contest, it will be based on the entrant's voluntary provision of information. The collection of personal information will be limited to what is necessary for the operation of this contest, such as notifying the winners.

・The provided personal information will be used within the necessary scope for the operation of this contest and will not be used for any other purposes.

【Precautions】

・Entries may be excluded from the judging process if the Company determines that they may infringe on the copyright or portrait rights of a third party or violate a confidentiality agreement.

・Please be careful not to infringe on the portrait rights of copyrighted works or individuals in photographs taken of them. The Company will not be involved in any problems arising from this.

・The Company may choose not to respond to inquiries regarding judging or any other inquiries regarding this contest.

・All costs incurred in connection with the entry will be the responsibility of the entrant.

・Plagiarism and similar acts are strictly prohibited. The Company will not be held responsible for any disputes regarding copyright infringement or any other disputes arising from the submitted works.

・Prizes will only be delivered to winners residing in Japan.

・The Company reserves the right to make the final decision on any matter not stipulated in these terms and conditions, and entrants agree not to file any objections or complaints with the Company.

・Please note that this contest is subject to change or discontinuation without notice. The Company will not be liable for any damages incurred due to such change or discontinuation.

・This contest is not supported, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram.

・Support regarding the use of Instagram, posting methods, settings, etc. will not be provided.
