Due to continued volatility in the fuel market and to maintain pricing accuracy and transparency, DHL will implement weekly fuel surcharge updates starting April 13 and continuing until further notice.

This change affects only the update frequency. The fuel surcharge calculation method, including the fluctuating 20-day rolling US Gulf Coast (USGC) average and the published fuel surcharge table, remains unchanged.

We are taking every step to protect our customers from unnecessary cost fluctuations and to ensure fair and predictable pricing.

Effective March 5, 2026, and until further notice, all shipments exported to or imported from Oman, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates will incur an Elevated Risk surcharge. Shipments to and from the Middle East are likely to encounter longer transit times. We are closely tracking developments and adhering to directives from the relevant authorities. Note, this page will have ongoing updates.

Effective March 3, 2026, and until further notice, all shipments exported to or imported from Jordan will incur an Elevated Risk surcharge. Due to the ongoing situation in the Middle East – including airspace closures affecting several markets – flight operations to and from the region have been disrupted. As a result, customers in the affected countries may experience service delays.

Effective March 5, 2026, and until further notice, all shipments exported to or imported from Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar will incur an Elevated Risk surcharge. Due to the ongoing situation in the Middle East – including airspace closures affecting several markets – flight operations to and from the region have been disrupted. As a result, customers in the affected countries may experience service delays.

Effective March 3, 2026, and until further notice, all shipments exported to or imported from Israel will incur an Elevated Risk surcharge. Due to the ongoing situation in the Middle East – including airspace closures affecting several markets – flight operations to and from the region have been disrupted. As a result, customers in the affected countries may experience service delays.

Effective January 10 (Sat) 2026, Saturday pickup and delivery service will be discontinued in Tokyo's 23 wards and in Osaka's Kita-ku, Nishi-ku, and Chuo-ku.

Hong Kong/Singapore, August 13, 2025: DHL Express and the Cathay Group have entered into a new sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) partnership that reinforces their shared commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the air cargo industry. Under the agreement, Cathay will supply DHL Express with 2,400 metric tons of SAF for international flights departing from three airports in Asia namely Seoul Incheon International Airport, Tokyo Narita International Airport, and Singapore Changi Airport.

DHL Express, the world’s leading international express service provider, has begun using sustainable aviation fuel produced in Japan on its international air cargo flight for the first time in Japan departing from Central Japan International Airport. This follows the SAF deal signed in January 2025, where DHL Express agreed to procure 7.2 million liters of SAF produced in Japan by Cosmo Energy Holdings Co., Ltd.

DHL Express announced that it signed a deal with Cosmo Oil Marketing Co., Ltd. for the purchase of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) to drive emission-reduced air freight in Japan.  The deal represents DHL’s annual purchase of 7.2 million liters of SAF, which DHL Express will use for its regular cargo shipping services starting in April 2025, marking the first such initiative for the international express industry in Asia.

DHL Express announced today that it has renewed its partnership with MEIJI YASUDA J1-League football club, Urawa Red Diamonds (Urawa Reds), extending it until the 2026-2027 season. The contract spans two and a half years, with the partnership reaching its 19th year in the 2025 season and its 20th anniversary in the 2026-2027 season. DHL will also continue to support Urawa Red’s community program, the Urawa Reds “Heart-full Club”, which aims to support children's education through football classes.
