New Shipping Regulations to Canary
On October 16, 2019, a new regulation that establishes the phytosanitary requirements for the entry of pallets in the Canary Islands came into effect. This order applies to all types of wood packaging greater than 6 millimetres, such as drawers, boxes, cages, etc., used or not for transport of goods of all kinds.
For these purposes, if from October 16, 2019 to Canarias pallets / wood packaging that has not been applied to appropriate phytosanitary therapy (1), the Parental Sanity Border Inspection Service may take appropriate measures (2).

Phytosanitary treatments ensure wood pallets / packaging are free of pests and insects and will not be harmful to local wildlife.

Wood pallets and packaging must be subjected to a one phytosanitary therapy approved according to NIMF 15 (International standard for phytosanitary measures).

After receiving the treatments of the NIMF 15, pallets and wood packaging are marked with an identification label to show that they meet the required regulations.

The Parental Health Border Inspection Service may be adopted, the following measures:
- Detention of the shipment.
- Withdrawal non-conforming material.
- Destruction of the shipment
- Extend the measures to items or material that may contain or host.
