How to Prepare the Airwaybill (AWB)
All the information you need to properly complete your waybill, which is eassential for tracking and researching.
Payer's Account Number
Transportation Charges (Charge to): check the box indicating the payment method and choose whether to have the shipper, consignee, and/or a third party bill the transportation charges.
To correctly fill out: check the appropriate box
Account number for debit: for customers with an account, this is a 9-digit number
To correctly fill out: 9-digit DHL Accout number
Insurance: if you need to insure the shipment, indicate the insured value and local currency

Shipper
Account number: 9-digit DHL Account Number

Shipper's name: the full name of the person responsible for sending the shipment, written in block letters
To correctly fill out: e.g. Mario Rossi
Customer reference n.: any alpha-numeric reference used to identify a customer. Maximum 32 characters
To correctly fill out: indicate correct reference number
Business name: the full name of the company that is shipping
To correctly fill out: indicate the correct name
Address: the full address of the physical location from which the shipment is picked up. Address includes house/building number, street, zip code, city, country, phone/FAX/e-mail number of the sender

Consignee
Business Name: The full name of the recipient company. If the shipment is to an individual, indicate the name in the "Att.ne nome/reparto" field.
Address: The complete delivery address. Address includes house/building number, street, zip code, city , state and country. Note: PO Box addresses (e.g., without the street name, house number) are not acceptable.
Att.Ne nome/reparto: The full name of the person responsible for receiving the shipment.
Phone/fax/email: Recipient's contact details.

Number of pieces: the total number of pieces in the shipment
Weight: the total weight of all pieces, in kg or gr
Dimensions: the height, length and depth, in cm, of each piece of the shipment

Full Description of Content
Content: include a description of the goods in English, which should allow easy identification of the contents of the shipment. Terms such as "samples, gifts, or parts" do not describe the items, and in the absence of a clear description the shipment cannot be accepted

Quantity: the number of items shipped

Invoice: The invoice (mandatory for dutiable shipments) must contain full details of the contents of a shipment. Incorrect description will lead to paying incorrect duties and taxes at destination. It could also lead to customs clearance delays

Declared customs value: total value of the items shipped as indicated on the accompanying invoice and/or any attached declarations pertaining to the goods

TARIC code: a numerical code used by the World Customs Organization (WCO) to quickly identify items and apply the relevant customs duties

Customs charges at destination: depends on the agreements between shipper and consignee. If the field is left blank, customs charges are understood to be borne by the consignee.
