The 2020 IMO normative, established by the International Maritime Organization, regulates the limit sulfur, determining that ships must use a fuel oil with a maximum of 0.5% Sulfur, thereby reducing the impact this substance has to humans and the environment.
Due to these measures, ocean transport companies established an increase in transport prices, which is reflected in the price of shipments requiring the use of this type of shipment, applicable as of January 1, 2020.
