-
"Cookies" are small files that allow us to store information related to your device as well as to you, especially when you visit one of our websites. Cookies help us determine how often we visit our websites and the number of visitors. They help us set up offers to make them as helpful and effective as possible.
Pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, we use "session cookies" in order to optimise the website and to guarantee its convenient and user browse seamlessly. Cookies are stored only for the duration of your visit to websites and are automatically deleted when you close your browser.
In addition, we use "persistent cookies" to store information about users who visit our websites multiple times. The purpose of the use of cookies is to provide optimal support to the user, as well as to "recognize" the user, thereby enabling the presentation (as far as possible) of diverse websites and new content during subsequent visits. Our website contains a banner with cookies, indicating that further browsing of the website constitutes consent to the storage of cookies on your device. The legal basis for the processing of personal data using cookies for the purposes of analysis is Art. 6 para. 1 GDPR. Of course, you have the right to object and opt out (see: How to manage cookies).
We do not create an individual online activity profile. The content of a persistent cookie is limited to an identification number. Name, e-mail address, IP address, etc. are not saved on most of our sites. However, there are exceptions that are described below in the cookie table.
There are four exceptions:
1) Eloqua tracking cookie. The content of this persistent cookie is limited to the identification number and the cookie itself is used in the same way as all other persistent cookies. However, if you contact DHL using certain online contact forms that contain logistical content, your email address will be added to the cookie and create an individual online activity profile for that user. The same contact forms also allow you to update your marketing email. Giving us consent also gives us the opportunity to present personalised content, offers or promotions that may be of interest to you.
If you choose not to update your email for marketing purposes, we will not be able to contact you in the future and your DHL email will only be used confidentially for internal purposes to understand your individual online activities. This means that we will continue to present you with new and improved website content tailored to your specific needs.
You can find out more about the Eloqua tracking cookie in the cookie table below.
You can opt out of Eloqua cookies tracking on all websites (or reset your settings in case you have previously opted), you can do so in the "How to manage cookies" section.
2) MediaMind tracking files. These persistent tracking cookies retrieve your IP address and use it to provide geographic location data to help DHL monitor and manage your advertising campaigns. Cookies are completely encrypted and do not collect any other personally identifiable information, so the IP address cannot be combined with personal data and is not shared with third parties. The IP address is stored securely and DHL uses it only internally to obtain aggregate reports. Cookies expire after 30 days.
You can find out more about MediaMind Tracking cookies in the DHL cookie table below.

Cookies collect information about how visitors use our local sites and use this information to create reports and help us improve local sites.

For DHL customers or contacting DHL using certain online contact forms containing logistical content, your email address is added to a cookie to create an individual online user activity profile. The same contact forms also allow you to update your email for marketing purposes. Granting consent also gives us the opportunity to present personalized content, offers or promotions that may be of interest to you.
If you choose not to update your email for marketing purposes, we will not be able to contact you in the future and your DHL email will only be used confidentially for internal purposes to understand your individual online activities.
